The Interior Story

I graduated from the Parsons New School of Design. While I was in school, I had the opportunity to work with two famous NYC Designers. It was a pleasure working on the Kips Bay Show House with renowned New York designer, Mary Dial. I also had the opportunity to work with world famous designer, Kevin MacNamara, immediately after I graduated. My drafting table overlooked the East River for a long time. During this time, the projects I worked on started in value at $1M or more.

After working in New York, I returned to New Jersey and worked with Norellen Stokely and Tess Guiliani in Ridgewood, NJ. Norellen told me I was ready to go out on my own, so I started Joy Interiors in 2000. I have had many exciting design clients. It has been a pleasure designing different spaces, including law offices, Gold's Gym, restaurants, commercial and residential spaces.

I have been fortunate in that all of my clients have come to me through referrals from other clients and word of mouth. In residences, I have designed kitchens, bathrooms and new additions. I have enjoyed the opportunity to design furniture to compliment the space, as well as design elements and treatments that personalize each space. Most of all I have enjoyed creating artwork to personalize each design.

It has been a wonderful experience working with my clients. I have had the privilege of becoming part of their families, whether in their homes or offices. Working so close with them I have formed wonderful lasting relationships. They have told me that I bring joy into their spaces.
